As a result, tourism has declined in the Baja area by at least 30%. For Rosarito Beach, tourism is the life blood of the community, as 70% of the 130,000 residents depend either directly or indirectly on tourism for employment.

Is the perception that Southern California and North America media have portrayed about the safety of Rosarito Beach and the Baja strip of Mexico a reality?
